Dr. Chandrakant S Pandav (chairperson, Advisory Committee) is the National President of Indian Public Health Foundation and a Professor and Head of Centre for Community Medicine at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). He is a Physician, Medical Scientist, Public Health Specialists, Epidemiologist and Health Economist Dr Pandav has to his credit over 260 publications and presentations in reputed national and international journals, and in various conferences. He has also co-edited 13 books on health sciences and health economics, published by the Oxford University Press, India. He has also been conferred many national and international orations. Dr Pandav has worked as a consultant for the WHO, UNICEF, ICCIDD, PAMM and MI at the global, regional (including China, Africa) levels for over 50 countries, and also at the national level in India for the last 30 years. |

Dr. Ajay Kumar (Co- chairperson, Advisory Committee) is the former president of the Indian Medical Association and Urological Society of India. He also acted as the Vice President of the Commonwealth Medical Association. Dr. Kumar is the member of Council of World Medical Association, Drug Technical Advisory Committee, Govt. of India. The B C Roy National Award by the Medical Council of India in 2007 is just one of the many honors bestowed on him. Dr. Kumar spends most of his time in Patna where he provided world class services to the poor & drown trodden while conducting researches in different fields of Urology. |

Sh. P K Pradhan, Honorable Health Secretary of India is a patron of the symposium. Shri Pradhan, an IAS Officer from the West Bengal Cadre 1977 batch was presently Special Secretary and Mission Director, National Rural Health Mission in Department of Health & Family Welfare. In his career spanning more than thirty four years, Shri Pradhan has previously handled various portfolios in urban sector both in State Government and Government of India. He has been looking after National Rural Health Mission since last two years. |

Prof. Dr. David Dror is Founding Chairman/ MD of MIA and Honorary Professor of Health Insurance at Erasmus University Rotterdam. His research focuses on bottom – up initiatives to deliver health insurance to t he poor. He has published several books and over 50 peer – reviewed papers. He has almost 30 years of professional research and management experience and has served as advisor to many agencies, including the International Labour Organization, the World Health Organization, and the World Bank. The Asia Insurance academy bestowed on Dr. Dror the “Personality of the Year” Award in Nov 2009 for “his groundbreaking research and study which has helped boost understanding of how the world’s poorest communities can benefit from microinsurance”. |

Dr. A. K. Susheela, Ph. D. has spent more than 20 years doing scientific research in the field of Fluoride Toxicity and Fluorosis. She is a fell Professor of Anatomy and Cheid of the Fluoride and Fluorosis Research Laboratories, at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. She has been a member of several National Committees since early 1970s, where issues related to Fluoride are debated and discussed. She has also convened an International Conference on Fluoride and Fluorosis research in India in 1983. I edited a book on Fluoride Toxicity during 1985 and has more than 80 scientific publications in leading Western and Indian journals |

Dr. Ishaprasad Bhagwat is the National Manager for Health and Nutrition at Save the Children, India. He is a former Director (Programme Operations) at WaterAid, a leading independent organisation which enables the world's poorest people to gain access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education. |

Lt. Gen. (Retd.) SPS Dhillon is the COO of India800 Foundation which is a Trust dedicated to help bridge the gap between the rich and the poor and support the 800 million plus Indian population which lives below the poverty line. Lt. Gen. Dhillon served the country for many years as an army personnel. He was also the deputy director of the Commonwealth Organizing committee. Now, he is committed to the cause of uplifting the downtrodden segment of the country. |
